Andrew Gould was born in Long Island, New York and began playing saxophone at age 10. He graduated from SUNY Purchase College and received his Masters Degree from Manhattan School of Music. He has performed with James Moody, Wallace Roney, Jon Faddis, David Weiss, Ray Vega, Chuchito Valdes, Ricky Rodriguez and many more. He was a 2013 Thelonious Monk Saxophone Competition Semi Finalist and has appeared live on the Today Show and recorded a music video for MTV with the pop group Fifth Harmony. He has also performed live on WBGO Radio and at Winter Jazzfest, The Charlie Parker Jazz Festival, Bermuda Jazz Festival and the Caramoor Jazz Festival. He has toured extensively around the world performing all over the U.S.A including Hawaii, as well as Bermuda, Europe, Asia, and Canada. Andrew also teaches regularly, giving both private lessons and masterclasses to students of all levels. Recent projects include a world premier debut performance of Wayne Shorters "Universe" with the Wallace Roney Orchestra, new videos and a brand new CD Release with Funk/Soul band Nuf Said entitled "My Kind", as well as collaborations and horn section work with hip/hop producer 88 Keys, Gospel artist Chris Jackson and A-Minor Music, and the Uptown Party Down.
