Turkish/American pianist Deniz Gür was born in New York in 1994. Having brought up in Turkey, she started her professional piano studies with Prof. Oznur Orbay at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, from which she graduated with high honours degree at the top of her class, before moving to Vienna.

She is a laureate on numerous national and international competitions, winning the "3rd prize" and the "Best Turkish Piece Interpreter Award" at the Pera International Piano Competition, "3rd prize" and the "Audience Award" at the 2nd A. Saygun International Piano Competition.
One of her latest successes was at the "National Piano Competition" in Ankara, where she won the 2nd prize, as well as the "Verda Erman Special Award" and also at the "International Princess Lalla Meryem Piano Competition" in Rabat, Morocco, where she won the first prize for her performances.

Her concert performances and successes brought Deniz many interest from different foundations. She became a scholar of "Joseph Windisch Foundation" in Austria (2016) and was generously supported by the "Eczacibasi Foundation" in Turkey for 2 years.

Throughout her piano studies, she has participated in many different masterclasses given by renowned pianists such as Jean-Bernard Pommier, Boris Berman, Alexander Madzar, Gülsin Onay, Ferhan and Ferzan Önder, Arnulf von Arnim, Giselle Brodsky, Mischa Dacic and many others.
She has played numerous concerts in many different cities of countries such as Turkey, Austria, France, Spain, Morocco and Slovakia. One of the the most important one of these concerts took place in the famous Wiener Musikverein in 2015.

In 2012 she started working with Prof.Roland Batik in Vienna, as well as taking private lessons from Inci Altinok-Hæusler. After that she continued her studies with Prof. Jan Jiracek von Arnim at the world renowned University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna and is currently working with Prof. Jasminca Stancul.

Deniz Gür was born in 1994 in New York/U.S.A. and began her piano education with Prof. Oznur Orbay at the prestigious Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory in Turkey, where she graduated from its high school section with high honours degree. After her graduation in 2012, she moved to Vienna to work with pianist and pedagogoue Prof. Roland Batik, while she continued her private studies with Prof. Inci Altinok Hæusler.
In 2012, she was awarded the "3rd prize" and the prize for "Best Turkish Piece Interpreter" at the Pera International Piano Competition. In 2013, she was again awarded the "3rd prize" at the 2nd International A.A. Saygun Piano Competition, as well as receiving the audience award.
At the 2nd National Piano Competition, organised by Ankara State Conservatory, she won the "2nd prize" and was also awarded the "Verda Erman Special Prize", which was named after the great Turkish pianist, who passed away in 2014.
And lastly in November 2016, she won the "1st Prize" at the "International Princess Lalla Meryem Piano Competition" in Rabat, Morocco.
Robert Levin, Jean-Bernard Pommier, Arnulf von Arnim, Ferhan - Ferzan Önder, Paul Badura-Skoda, Boris Berman, Gülsin Onay, Emre Elivar, Alexander Madzar, Makoto Ueno, Valentin Surif, Peter Kosse, Giselle Brodsky, Henri Sigfriedsonn, Ferhan Önder and Pawel Kaminski are among the many names that she has had the chance to work with in many different music festivals and masterclasses. She has played numerous piano recitals and concerts with orchestras at different cities in Turkey, Austria, France, Morocco and Slowakia. One of the most important of these concerts took place in Vienna, at the famous Wiener Musikverein in 2015.
She is currently continuing her master piano studies with Prof. Jan Jiracek von Arnim at the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Universitat für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien), where she is generously supported by the Eczacibasi Foundation.
