The Austrian mezzo-soprano Hermine Haselböck studied at the universities of music in Vienna and Detmold.
International recital and concert performances have led her to Carnegie Hall - NY, Wiener Konzerthaus, Musikverein Wien, Mozarteum Salzburg, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Frauenkirche Dresden and Teatro San Carlo.
On stage she performed roles like Magdalene (Meistersinger von Nürnberg), Ramiro (La Finta Giardiniera - Nationaloper Tokyo), Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel - Volksoper Vienna), Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte - Concertgebouw Amsterdam), 2. Dame (Magic Flute - Theater an der Wien and Grand Theatre de la Ville Luxemburg), Mercedes (Carmen), Odetta (Adelia - Donizetti), Ernesto (Il Mondo della Luna) and 3. Magd (Elektra).
She works with conductors such as Bertrand de Billy, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Gustav Kuhn, Fabio Luisi and Christian Thielemann.
2012 Hermine Haselböck will give her debut as Brangäne (Wagner: Tristan und Isolde) at Tyrolean Festival Erl, Gertrud, the mother (Humperdinck: Hänsel und Gretel) at Operahouse Graz, Floßhilde (Wagner: Das Rheingold) under the baton of Kirill Petrenko 2013, under Gustav Kuhn Azucena (Verdi: Il Trovatore), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) and Fricka (Wagner: Das Rheingold und Die Walküre) 2013/2014.
Apart from numerous radio recordings her discography includes CD‘s with songs by Zemlinsky, Schreker and Mahler (Bridge Records), Donizetti „Adelia“ (Sony BMG), Beethoven „Missa Solemnis“ and „Symphony nr.9“ (Col Legno), Mahler „Song of the Earth“ (CAvi), Schubert „Mass in E flat major“ and „A flat major“ (ORF) and Strauss „Elektra“ on DVD (Unitel).
