Live at the Konzerthaus Wien, performed on May 28, 2014 During Chick´s solo concert tour in Vienna he invited me to join him on stage, playing a 4 hand improvisation. We, of course, never played together before. That´s what happened ... After the concert many people have asked me, how long we rehearsed it - such a thing CAN´T be prepared! (Then I would have done it much better, but certainly with less spontaneity!)

«Jazz Up! Paganini» is a virtuoso concert piece specifically written for classical players. We are about to hear some excerpts of the 6-minute piece to give you some ideas about Jazz variations on a famous classical theme (Niccolò Paganini’s 24th Capriccio for solo violin). As it turns out, the composition is a virtuosic tour de force through the history of jazz piano playing in six minutes. «Jazz Up! Paganini» is a Jazz Piano Suite with variations in the style of famous jazz pianists.
