Angela Yurchenko, concert pianist and organist, was born in 1990 in Russia. As a concert pianist, Angela Yurchenko has been performing since she was 14 years old, when at her debut in New Jersey, USA , she was called “a true rising star”.Since then she has given numerous recitals, and in 2010 has been awarded a United States Senate Citation Award for her City Hall recitals.
Miss Yurchenko was born in Russia where she had received her preliminary musical training. Since 2000 she has lived in the United States, and continued studies at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City . David Dubal - music author, and radio host of New York City’s classical radio station “WQXR”s program "Reflections from the Keyboard" especially noted her "exquisite musical taste and virtuoso technique".
Her concerts include: invitations to New Jersey Councilmember at Large M. Karczewski's reception for a special recital performance; concert appearances in a chamber ensemble at the New Jersey City University, recitals for the Israeli Medical Center Hadassah, Recitals at the City Hall of Union City, New Jersey, USA for which Miss Yurchenko was awarded a United States Senate Citation; Recital at the Fazioli Piano Loft , UCPAC, featured in the New York Times on April 16, 2011; Performances at the Union City Performing Arts Center; and numerous other recitals and concerts in the New Jersey and New York area in the years 2005-2011.
In 2012 Angela Yurchenko has made her orchestral debut as soloist playing Chopin's Piano Concerto in e minor, and has had her organ and piano recital debuts in Russia.Angela Yurchenko combines performing as a concert pianist, with work as aconcert organist and chamber musician in the USA and Europe. Her organ repertoire includes the great organ works from Bach to the twentieth century, as well as her own transcriptions of symphonic repertoire. On an organ recital on April 18, 2012 in Russia, she had premiered her organ transcription of Richard Wagner’s Operatic Overture “Der Fliegende Hollander”While living in the USA, Miss Yurchenko was often featured in the press for numerous musical contributions to the musical life of New Jersey and New York.For three consecutive years, she was the recipient of Professional Performing Arts grants from the Children's Foundation for the Arts in New York City , USA.In the years 2006 - 2011 she has also held the position of church organist and was a member of the renowned U.S. Professional choir Schola Cantorum on the Hudson. A.Yurchenko is also very active as a chamber musician, and was a member of the New York Youth Symphony's Chamber Music Program in New York City, and is always striving to collaborate with other artists - instrumentalists and singers on new and exciting programs to offer to her audiences.
