Turkish/American pianist Deniz Gür was born in New York in 1994. Having brought up in Turkey, she started her professional piano studies with Prof. Oznur Orbay at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, from which she graduated with high honours degree at the top of her class, before moving to Vienna.

She is a laureate on numerous national and international competitions, winning the "3rd prize" and the "Best Turkish Piece Interpreter Award" at the Pera International Piano Competition, "3rd prize" and the "Audience Award" at the 2nd A. Saygun International Piano Competition.
One of her latest successes was at the "National Piano Competition" in Ankara, where she won the 2nd prize, as well as the "Verda Erman Special Award" and also at the "International Princess Lalla Meryem Piano Competition" in Rabat, Morocco, where she won the first prize for her performances.

Her concert performances and successes brought Deniz many interest from different foundations. She became a scholar of "Joseph Windisch Foundation" in Austria (2016) and was generously supported by the "Eczacibasi Foundation" in Turkey for 2 years.

Throughout her piano studies, she has participated in many different masterclasses given by renowned pianists such as Jean-Bernard Pommier, Boris Berman, Alexander Madzar, Gülsin Onay, Ferhan and Ferzan Önder, Arnulf von Arnim, Giselle Brodsky, Mischa Dacic and many others.
She has played numerous concerts in many different cities of countries such as Turkey, Austria, France, Spain, Morocco and Slovakia. One of the the most important one of these concerts took place in the famous Wiener Musikverein in 2015.

In 2012 she started working with Prof.Roland Batik in Vienna, as well as taking private lessons from Inci Altinok-Hæusler. After that she continued her studies with Prof. Jan Jiracek von Arnim at the world renowned University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna and is currently working with Prof. Jasminca Stancul.
