Ganesh Ramnath is a young, multitalented musician in the field of North Indian classical music, well-versed in tabla as well as in the vocal style. He has learned the tabla-baaj from many sources, such as Pt. Ashok Pathak, Ustad Ustad Fayaz Khan, Debendrakanti Chakraborty, Vijay Ghate, Ted de Jong, Shabbir Hussain, Nitiranjan Biswas and Pt. Anindo Chatterjee. The vocal music has been aquired by him through multiple sources, such as Pt. Ashok Pathak, Marianne Sva!ek, Nirmalya Dey, Koustuv Ray, Ustad Zia Fariddudin Dagar, Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurassia and Pt. Dhruba Ghosh. He’s been greatly inspired by the saints and sages of India, and has a keen wish to express the message of universal love through his music. Professionally he has given concerts in different fields, among them he has had the honor to accompany many of his Masters in prestigious concert halls such as the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Ostade Theather (Amsterdam) Laktheater (Leiden), MIM (Musical Instruments Museum in Brussel) and he has also participated in music festivals all over Europe. He finished his studies in Tabla and Vocal in June 2008 and got his degree with (suma) cum laude. He received from the CODARTS University in 2008 the Stipendium Award based on his exceptional study results and artistic qualities. In 2011 he received an Appreciation Award for successfully participating in the Sitar Orchestra composed by Pt. Ashok Pathak in memory of the legendary sitar meastro Pt. Balaram Pathak.
