I am a guitar player actually.. still play it, i was exposed to turkish music (folk türküler) about 4-5 years ago and was hooked.. i bought a saz and tried to learn it.. after a while hearing erkan ogur changed everything completely and i took up the fretless guitar and kopuz. i am based in tel aviv (for now) but try to come often to turkey to interact more with people and musicians, and learn and improve myself. musically i see myself as a strong improviser, i also teach music and improvisation privatly. i give concerts with different instruments here, showing them and telling about them... and playing some folk songs. on fretless guitar (classical) i arrange songs (mostly turkish folk) to polyphonic solo arrangements and i incorporate them to my concerts with the idea of eventually having a full fretless guitar recital.
