Anahid Khatcheressian started the piano at the age of 4 and saxophone at 8. In year 2006 she won the “First Prize in Classical piano and chamber music at the National Chambery Conservatory ( France). Being especially attached to the chamber music, she is admitted at the Conservatory of Lyon in Piano Accompaniment and vocal Accompaniment, improving and perfecting her skills in the class of professor Laetitia Bougnol, where she was graduated in 2010.
Laureate of the “Kauffman European Music Competition”, she profited from the lessons of such masters as Avo Kouyoumdjian in Vienna, Tatiana Evdokimova, Alain Planès in Paris, and completed a musical training on accompanying classical dance at CNSM (Lyon) with Jean-Noel Siret.

As a saxophonist and pianist Anahid has participated in European tours of chamber music in Germany, Italy, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Romania and Czech Republic. She appeared as a pianist in various artistic media such theater, dance and opera.

Her passion to tango resulted in creation of Cuarteto El Orillero with Ville Hiltula and Matthew Midgley (solist of the Rotterdam Philharmonic) where she performed in Gergiev Festival in 2012. She studied Tango piano with Gustavo Beytelmann, Leo Vervelde, Victor Villena at Codarts in Rotterdam and performed with the Orquestra Tipica OTRA.

She was invited in november 2011 with her quartet to perform for the presentation of the second album of Quinteto El Despues.

She performed many concerts in prestigious festivals as Gergiev festival, International Doble Ocho Tango Festival.
She won the competition Classical Young Master 2013 in the Doelen in Rotterdam with the flutist Josephine Poncelin. She was indvited to play at Radio 4 at Amsterdam Concertgebouw in november 2013.
Anahid Khatcheressian is also very involved in contemporary music and in Anatolian music. She is currently studying a Master in Anatolian music at Codarts with Kemal Dinç/Kudsi Erguner and following classical composition with Paul Van Brugge. She is since 2013 part of the New Music Ensemble in Rotterdam.
