Dora Rodrigues nasceu em Braga. Diplomou-se no Conservatório Calouste Gulbenkian de Braga, completou a licenciatura na Escola Superior de Música do Porto com Oliveira Lopes, prosseguiu os seus estudos na Côte d’Azur com Ileana Cotrubas, em Itália com Enza Ferrari e em Espanha com Elisabete Matos. Posteriormente, integrou o European Opera Center em Liverpool e, recentemente, o European network of Opera Academies em Varsóvia, apoiada pela Fundação Gulbenkian.
Estreou-se com o Círculo Portuense de Ópera no Coliseu do Porto. No Teatro S. Carlos destacam-se as participações de Elisetta (Il Matrimonio Segreto), Echo (Ariadne auf Naxos), papel que cantou também em Modena e Ferrara, a protagonista de “Four Saint in Three Acts” de Virgil Thomson sob a direcção cénica de Bob Wilson, a participação na Tetralogia “Anel de Nibelungo” de Wagner, produção criada por Graham Vick, Magda (La Rondine), assim como em vários concertos integrados no âmbito das Temporadas Sinfónicas.
Da sua actividade destaca-se a participação no “Festival Les Jeunes Ambassadeur – Montreal” realizado no Canadá e a sua estreia na ópera “D. Chisciotte” de Manuel Garcia no Teatro de la Maestranza de Sevilha, produção lançada em CD pela etiqueta andaluza Almaviva e distribuído por Diverdi. Em 2010 gravou com a Royal Liverpool Philharmonic “Il Segreto di Susanna” Wolf-Ferrari sob a direcção musical de Vasily Petrenko para a Avie Records, lançada no mercado pela Presto Classical. Apresentou-se com a European Union Youth Orchestra em Londres com Laurent Pillot, concerto de aniversário da União Europeia gravado ao vivo pela etiqueta “The Classical Recording Company”. Estreou-se na ópera “Die Drei Pintos” de Weber na Fundação Gulbenkian sob a direcção de Lawrence Foster. Foi seleccionada para participar no conceituado BBC-Cardiff Singer of the World ,onde se apresentou com a Welsh National Orchestra em St. David’s Hall sob a direcção de Paul Daniel. Participou no lançamento da série “Os Maias”, pela Rede Globo, inspirada no romance de Eça Queirós, no Rio do Janeiro. Integra o L’Effetto Ensemble, projecto de câmara com o guitarrista Rui Gama, onde se destaca a gravação para a Antena 2 no Centro Cultural de Belém.
​Cantou ao lado de Josep Carreras em 2003 num tributo em sua homenagem na cidade de Coimbra, sob a direcção do maestro Ferreira Lobo, e em 2012 com a Orquestra Fundação Estúdio de Guimarães dirigida por David Gimenez.
​Foi-lhe atribuído o Prémio "Ribeiro da Fonte" - 2002 pelo Ministério da Cultura, o Galardão Música na VIII Edição dos Galardões “A Nossa Terra” e foi condecorada pelo Município de Braga com a Medalha de Mérito em 2012.

Nato a Braga, Dora Rodrigues ha fatto la sua formazione presso il Conservatorio Gulbenkian nella sua città natale, presso il Liceo Manzato in Italia con Enza Ferrari, sulla Costa Azzurra con Ileana Cotrubaş, in Spain with Elisabete Matos e nel European Opera Center in Inghilterra. Nélia Teatro São Carlos à Lisbona vi sono le partecipazioni (Il matrimonio segreto), (Ariadne auf Naxos), rublo che ha anche cantato a Modena e Ferrara, il protagonista (Four Saints in Three Acts) V. Thomson, produzione Bob Wilson, tetralogia (Der Ring des Nibelungen) Wagner, la produzione di Graham Vick, Magda (Rondine), Blanche (Les Dialogues des Carmelites) e in concerti integrate all'interno della Stagione Sinfonica.

Le sue registrazioni includono: "D. Chisciotte "di M. Garcia al Teatro de la Maestranza, pubblicato su CD di Almaviva; con la Royal Liverpool Philharmonic "Il Segreto di Susanna" di Wolf-Ferrari diretta da Vasily Petrenko per Avie Records; con la European Union Youth Orchestra a Londra con Laurent Pillot per "The Classical Recording Company".
Ha partecipato alla prestigiosa BBC-Cardiff Singer of the World con la Welsh National Orchestra diretta da Paul Daniel. Ha collaborato nel lancio della serie "Os Maios” di Rede Globo a Rio de Janeiro e nel prestigioso "Festival Les Jeunes Ambassadeur -. Montreal" Si è unito al progetto in ENOA Wielki Theatre - Opera Narodowa in Polonia.
Si è esibito in concerto con Josep Carreras nel 2003 e nel 2012 sotto la direzione di Ferreira Lobo e David Gimenez.
Ha ricevuto il premio "Ribeiro da Fonte" dal Ministero della Cultura da Portogallo - Distinzione di Merito Culturale.

She was select to the dignified BBC-Cardiff Singer of the World 2009 where she sang with Orchestra of Wales direct by Paul Daniel at St. David's Hall.
She also appeares in several concerts and recitals in Portugal, Belgium, Brasil and Canadá where she participated in the “Festival les Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyrique” in Montreal. She takes part of the project “L’Effetto Ensemble” with the guitar player Rui Gama.
Since 1998 she sings regulary in the Portuguese opera productions. Such as the one’s of the National Theater of S.Carlos, or the Oporto productions of the Porto company and National Theater of S.João. She performed the roles of Zerlina (D. Giovanni), Musetta (La Bohème), Grilletta (Lo Speziale), Frasquita (Carmen), Emily (Help, help the Globolinks), Polly (The Beggar’s Opera), Nannetta (Falstaff), Despina (Cosi fan Tutte), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro) and Adina (L’Elisir d’Amore). In Modena and Ferrara, Italy, she sang Echo (Ariadne auf Naxos), in Maestranza Theater of Sevilla Lucinda (Don Chisciotte) and Magda (La Rondine).
Recordings include “Opera Premium” - Universal Music , “Don Chisciotte” (Manuel Garcia) by Almaviva, distributed by Diverdi, the “IL Segreto di Susanna” with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic with Vasily Petrenko for Avie Records at Presto Classical, she did the European Day Concert at St. John’s Smith Square with European Union Youth Orchestra direct by Laurent Pillot, live recording by Classical Recording Company and “Compositores do Porto do sec. XX” by Fermata, editora.
She worked with many directores such as Lawrence Foster, Donato Renzetti, Marc Tardue, Julia Jones, Cesário Costa, Pedro Neves, Jonathan Webb, Emilio Pomarico, Michael Zilm, Zoltan Hamar, Zoltan Pesko and stage directors like Graham Vick, Bob Wilson, Tony Servillo, Mario Martone, Francesco Esposito, Mietta Corli, Tim Coleman, Luis Miguel Cintra, João Lourenço.
She sang with Jose Carreras in Portugal on a tribute for himself, directed by Ferreira Lobo and a Opera Gala directed by David Gimenez for European Cultural Capital.
