Edgar Vero was born in Guantánamo, Cuba, in 1985. He was only a child when he started being interested in art, both in music as in painting. He was only 10 years old when he started studying percussion in the art school of Guantánmo “Regino Eladio Boti”. In 2004 he graduated from the “Escuela Nacional de Arte de La Habana”. After that, he has been part of many Cuban musical groups, playing piano, and working as music director, music producer, composer and arranger. When he was 22 years old he worked as music producer on the album “Bajo la piel” of Leoni Torres, in which they are included three songs of his own composition. After making several tours around the world with different shows, like “King of Salsa”, “Lady Salsa” and “Ballet Revolución”, he has worked as co-arranger for the musical “Carmen Jones. El amor cubano”. His music has influences of jazz, soul, blues, rock and other styles, but it has always a strong presence of the Cuban music, both through lyrics as rhythms.
