         Natalia Hurst /Soprano- Vocal Coach -Artivist

Natalia was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is currently living in Vienna, Austria. 
Her Album "Songs from the Underworld" in collaboration with the pianist Ilse Schumann, released 2017, contains songs from Kurt Weill, Samuel Barber and Hugo Wolf .
Natalia graduated with distinction as Bachelor of Arts - Singing and Instrumental Pedagogy with Prof. Gertraud Berka-Schmid at the Vienna University for Music and Performing Arts. 

      Entering the Vocational School of Arts for Children (IVA) at age of seven, she began her classical music education as a member of the Teatro Colón Children´s Choir at the age of nine. As a teenager she sang in Tango formations and performed in the "kleine Kunst" Buenos Aires scene. After studying Composition with Martin Pavlovsky, she joined the CEAMC Institute (Center for Higher Studies in Contemporary Music) where she received  her first musical Degree in 1997, parallel to her singing lessons with Maestro Horacio Amauri. 
Combining her comedy and musical skills, in 2003 she gave life to "Eva Encanto", a "fin de siecle" humor character, performing extensively in venues such as Piazza San Marco in Venice, the Munich International Festival and in Vienna.
    She moved to Italy in 2001, where she continued her studies with Romualdo Savastano .
    After moving to Vienna in 2004, Natalia performed in modern operas such as "La Donna" by G. Pedini, singing the main role at the world première in Umbria (2005) and "Zauberflöte 06" by Th. Pernes, a Neue Oper Wien Production, as Second Lady and Boy. In 2006 she sang in a Mozart concert with the Athens Symphony Orchestra.
    With the Project "Oper Hautnah" (Opera at School) directed by Helga Wagner Meyer, musical director Stephen Delaney, she interpreted Donna Anna in Mozart´s “Don Giovanni” and Lucy in "The Telephone" by G. Menotti. With this short one act opera, she toured to Buenos Aires and participated in the Young Professionals Program of the München EUROVOX 2012 with great success.  She performed in Buenos Aires at Magna Lírica´s "Cosi fan Tutte" (WA Mozart) the role of Despina
Since 2016 she also contributes to diverse woman empowerment initiatives as a performer and activist; in order to spread, celebrate, debate and rethink the task of women in society, revaluing the feminine space and its role in strengthening the social fabric.
