Igmar Alderete (Violin)
Born in Havana in 1969 began his musical studies on the violin at the age of seven years at the Conservatory Manuel Saumell Elementary Music with Taran Alla Russian teacher. With only eight years to win the first prize in the National Violin Competition, he continued his studies at the Conservatory Alejandro Garcia CATURLA participating repeatedly in other contests, both inter-school, provincial and national where he obtained several awards finishing his studies at the Conservatory of Middle and Upper Amadeo Roldan, under the tutelage of Maestro Emilio Estrada.
In 1985 he began studying violin at the popular music field under the guidance of maestro Carlos F. Averoff then member of the famous group Irakere, covering all styles of Jazz, Blues, Swing, Cool Jazz, Latin, Fusion, Funk, Jazz Rock among others.
In 1989 a member of the Cuban music orchestra "America" , since this date participates in numerous concerts in different cities in Cuba .
He has collaborated on recordings in studies EGREM with musicians such as Jose Luis Cortes , Feliciano Arango , Germán Velasco and others.
It is in 1992 when it comes to Spain and shoots his classically trained violin in several orchestras OCG , ORM , and Orchestra of Cordoba , combined with the Jazz .
Founding member of the string quartet " Strings Quartet Collage " today " Race String Quartet " in which his job as first violinist , conductor, composer and arranger.
He has played with various jazz groups as Skun - FUNK, Violtrio -Jazz , Jazz Colors Quartet , Igmar Jazz Quartet , Jazz Trio AMV , among others.
He has participated in several festivals such as " Estepona Jazz Festival 2007 " and many local of Jazz clubs
He is a founder and member of the trio “SUR CODE”.
Currently combines with flamenco jazz collaborations with Vicente Amigo.
