The Kerem Trio with Yeela Avital performs a wide range of styles, focusing on Jewish and Israeli repertoire from diverse origins. The ensembles members are all classical performers of the highest caliber thus enabling the ensemble to perform Israeli art music and songs from prominent Israeli composers as well as unique and virtuosic arrangements of Jewish folklore of numerous origins. The Kerem Trio with Yeela Avital perform music from the Jews of Eastern European, Morocco, Yemen, Ladino and Yiddish song, alongside classical composers such as Marc Lavry and Joachim Stutchewsky. The Israeli and Jewish repertoire is often performed alongside classical masterpieces by western composers from Bach, to Ravel, Manuel de Falla and Villa Lobos.
The Kerem Trio was established in 2009. The Trio was founded by the two prominent guitarists Guy Meir and Gideon Brettler, and the renowned flautist Daphna Peled.
The ensemble has been working in close creative collaboration with the soprano Yeela Avital since 2011. The idea for the ensemble was born from the will to rejuvenate and cast in a new light, repertoire of various styles and periods. Playing music in different instrumentations was a common musical practice in earlier periods, a practice that we have readily adopted. The majority of our repertoire has been arranged for this ensemble by its members.

The Kerem Trio with Yeela Avital has successfully toured Germany in 2013 and 2014, including a performance in the prestigious Chemnitz Jewish Culture Festival in 2013. They have also performed in numerous venues throughout Israel, including "The Kol Hamusica" Festival in Kefar Blum, and The Targ Music Center in Ein Kerem, Jerusalem. In March 2014 they released their first CD “Song to My Heart” dedicated to Israeli art music and Jewish folklore.
The Kerem Trio and Yeela Avital have numerous programs of varying repertoire:
"Jewish Soul"- The song and melody of the Jewish world. Music from Spain, Greece, Morroco, Yemen, and contemporary Israeli Israeli art music inspired by the Jewish musical heritage . With our unique interpretation.
"From Spain to Jerusalem" – Music from Spain, France and Israel. From the Ladino song of the Spanish Jews to Israeli music of the 20th century.
"The Latin Quarter" – Music inspired by Latin culture. Piazzolla, Falla, Rodrigo, Faure well as popular Israeli composer Matti Caspi. "A Classical Recital" – Flute sonatas by C.P.E. Bach, J.S. Bach as well as the art songs of Faure and others.
