Mirella Pantano started playing transverse flute when she was 10 years old.
She obtained a bachelor’s degree in transverse flute at the Music School “Licinio Refice” in Frosinone, Italy. Besides helding solo concerts, she has been playing in symphonic orchestras, TV productions, and chamber groups. She is also a flute teacher.

She is a conductor at the Flute-Accademia-Orchestra since 2005 as well as a teacher and the artistic director at the Accademia Nazionale Flautistica Italiana.
She is the interpreter at the premiere of the contemporary music pieces "Glady" by Eraclio Sallustio, and "Pneuma" by Claudio Monteleoni and of other pieces by Virgilio Mortari…
In her training she followed several courses of improvement for transverse flute (Alfredo Pucello), chamber music (Marco Zuccarini), Jazz Master Class and improvisation (Dan Moretti, Garrison Fawell), Orchestra and band conductor (Daniele Carnevali, L. Pusceddu). She is a teacher of flute masterclass for Flute in F, D, G, Bass flute and Piccolo…
When she was only 14 years old she was awarded the first prize at the literary contest whose president was Libero de Libero, with a tv live prizegiving broadcasted by RAI DUE. Since then she is the author of several music stories, some of them – such as “Un altro cielo” and “Il Bosco prodigioso” - were taken to theater and became a CD for teaching use.
