Sergey Sobolev

Sergey Sobolev was born in 1982. He has received all his musical trainings
mainly in Moscow.
He graduated from Academic Musical College of Moscow Conservatory under the honourable teacher of the Russian Federation Natalia Suslova in 2000.
Then he continued his musical education at Moscow State Conservatory under the guidance of professor Mikhail Voskresensky. Sergey was also pursuing his second postgraduate course in the Royal College of Music in London in 2010-2012.
S.Sobolev is the 4th prizewinner of XIII Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow (2007), the 3th prizewinner of the Second Scriabin
International Piano Competition (Moscow, 2000), the 2nd prize of the 7th
Franz Liszt International Piano Competition in Weimar-Bayreuth (Germany,2011), the laureate of the Queen Elisabeth International Competition in
Brussels (Belgium, 2003), of XVI Santander Piano International Competition
in Spain (2008), 2007 Young Concert Artist International Auditions in New
York (the 2nd prize) and others.
Sergey is the laureate of the Youth Prize “Triumph” in Moscow (2003),
the winner of Yamaha Scholarship Award (Moscow, 2002).
The pianist has participated in such prestigious musical festivals as Usedomer Musikfestival in Germany (2002, 2006), Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad (Switzerland, 2010) and others.
Sergey played many piano solo and chamber music recitals (together with such artists as L. Isakadze, Casals String Quartet, and others) and also with different symphony orchestras under batons of V. Poliansky, G. Octors, M. Gorenstein, G. Varga, A.Sladkovsky, A.Levin and other conductors in Russia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, France, United Kingdom, Spain, South Korea, USA.
Sergey Sobolev released two CD’s with the piano works of Beethoven,
Chopin, Scriabin and Prokofiev in 2005-2006 (Gent, Belgium).
