Sariyah Idan is a Jewish American vocalist, songwriter and actor originally from New York. As an actor she has trained for both stage and screen but she is best known for her solo theater show HOMELESS IN HOMELAND about Jewish identity and the Israeli Palestinian Conflict which has received praise both in the US and in the UK. As a music artist she is trained in jazz and folk, is hip-hop educated and influenced by the music of her roots. She blends music styles into a smooth, alternative-soul sound seasoned with passionate longing and hope. She has performed nationally on east and west coasts and internationally in the UK, Europe and the Middle-East.

Sariyah recently completed a 6 song EP Deeper than Skin co-produced by herself, Jordan Feinstein and Sam Ziens, which she plans to release soon. She is a featrued vocalist/lyricist on the recent release Women in Dub by Dubblestandart based in Vienna, along with artists such as Chezere, Marcia Griffiths, Ari Up, Jazzmin Tutum and more.

In 2012, Idan was recognized for her solo theater show HOMELESS IN HOMELAND about Jewish identity and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, reviewed as “a dramatic tour-de-force not to be missed”. The same year she released the HOMELESS IN HOMELAND spoken word and music album co-produced by Alcendor.
