SAMUEL MARQUES & VASYL TSANKO
Samuel Marques and Vasyl Tsanko form a clarinet and piano duo based in the city of Aveiro, Portugal. Since 2021, they have been performing throughout the country, in series of concerts and shows promoted by public entities (Municipalities) and private entities (Foundations and Associations). The duo's internationalization took place in 2024, with their performance in the Final of the 'Premio Amici della Musica di Verona 2024' competition, in Verona (Italy).
With the aim of providing differentiated artistic experiences, they have been promoting the circulation of two shows to the most varied audiences:
Contradance – a journey through the most beautiful and elegant European dances, to the folk dances of South America, seeking to simultaneously portray the atmosphere of elegant balls and the soul of folk festivities of the 18th century.
Soundscapes of the 'Belle Époque' – experience the soundscapes of the Art Nouveau era (an artistic movement strongly inspired by natural forms and structures and markedly symbolic, which was in vogue in a period known as 'Belle Époque'), through works by important European composers like Debussy, Ravel or Fauré.
PRISMA QUINTET
Prisma Quintet, established in 2021, is the result of the union of five ambitious musicians who share a huge interest for chamber music. This resulted in the creation of a reed quintet made up of wind instruments from the woodwind family: soprano clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, alto saxophone and oboe. This is an emerging and innovative project in Portugal, as it is a quintet whose professional training is unique in the country.
WIND TRIO OF THE CENTRO CLASSICAL ORCHESTRA
This wind trio is made up of musicians from the Orquestra Clássica do Centro (Coimbra, Portugal), presenting the most important works for this trio formation, combining the sounds of the flute, clarinet and bassoon also as a duo. Established in 2023, they perform as part of the Orchestra's music season and the programming of the Municipality of Coimbra, in places such as the Cloister of Colégio da Graça (Coimbra), Convento de São Francisco (Coimbra), Ruins of Conímbriga, Oporto's Tribunal da Relação, among others.
